batrachia frogs fine art print ernst haeckel Size:70×100 cm and arts and craftsA chorus of frogs, poised mid leap and rendered in jewel like greens, blues and reds this is one of Ernst Haeckel's most charming and surprisingly lively plates. Tree frogs and exotic amphibians are arranged across the sheet in dynamic poses, their splayed toes and glistening skin captured with the precision of a scientist and the flair of an illustrator. The image belongs to Kunstformen der Natur, Haeckel's celebrated portfolio of 100 lithographs
